The fried peanut butter & banana sandwich is a delicacy. It’s not something to be taken lightly when you translate it into beer form, which is why we took the request so seriously when our friend Justin Cashion asked us to try brewing it in honor of his new single titled “Cocaine & Whiskey.”
Elvis loved a good fried peanut butter & banana sandwich.
“If he wanted them in the morning when he woke up, I would have to fix ’em. If he wanted them at two o’clock in the morning, I would have to still fix them for him. Whenever he get a taste for them, he’d call down, and that’s what he wanted.”
Elvis’ personal chef Mary Jenkins Langston.
Rich with peanut butter, roasty espresso beans, and a touch of banana, this “Fried Peanut Butter & Banana Sandwich” stout is full of flavor with a dry finish so you can enjoy it first thing in the morning if that’s when you like to take care of business.
The beer itself provides a toasted, bready canvas for the sweet peanut butter flavors & aromas, both of which sandwich the touches of brown sugar & banana and the strong black coffee.
Come try yourself a Velvet Elvis. We won’t judge you if it’s the first thing you crave early in the morning.
