To refresh our senses, we brewed this new version of a beer we’ve enjoyed producing (and drinking) a few times now.
Meet Rye’t As Rain Rye Saison, 2023 edition.
Light in body with the heavy flavor and texture of rye, this Belgian saison brewed with flaked rye and malted rye tastes like a thick slice of freshly-sliced rye bread. The fruity esters of the Belgian yeast strain give it a sweet aroma like it’s smeared with a touch of fruity jam, but this beer was fermented to complete dryness.
Still, there’s a touch of what you’ll perceive as sweetness in this brew, almost like a juicy rye character. That’s just thanks to the layers and layers of rye that went into it.
Pouring with a fluffy white head, this effervescent rye saison is easy to drink in all the right ways, cooling and refreshing. We like to think it’ll get you “rye’t as rain” after just one.
