Relive childhood memories of building pinewood derby racers – or make new memories if you missed out – with a fun and challenging project that combines art, science, and tech.

Good for all ages (with an adult)! Audience participation is welcome!

Participants will receive materials to build a vehicle to race against other contestants and see which team can make the fastest, most creative racer! Teams will put their creativity and problem-solving skills to the test. No experience is necessary, and all materials will be provided!

Powered only by gravity, cars will be raced on a modular ramp that will automatically track participant’s speeds and times. Teams will get a car base and wheels to start, and choose from a variety of materials to design the rest of their car for both speed and style.

Winning team(s) will receive praise and perhaps a prize of some kind!

The cost to race is $30 per team. The vehicle you create is yours to take home. Advance tickets are available now. A limited number of tickets will be available on arrival.

RACES WILL TAKE PLACE EVERY HOUR! (2 PM, 3 PM, 4 PM & 5 PM)

As a reminder, this is a DROP-IN making event. This means that:

• There is no set time to arrive.
• The event begins at 1 PM and ends at 5 PM
• Please arrive to allow enough time to make AND race your creations!
