Our friends at Smittox Brewing came by the brewpub several weeks ago to put this one together.

If you’ve not discovered Smitty’s brews, you really should, and follow him to keep up with Smittox as they seek out their permanent home in North Texas.

For this collaboration, we wanted to produce something complex and incredibly drinkable to be enjoyed at a long table with friends. So we put this little petite saison together.

Brewed in collaboration with Smittox Brewing, this petite sour saison is light and packed with Belgian esters while remaining extremely dry.

An addition of pear brings a nuanced sweetness and tangy aroma that leads into the tart, complex, and super dry finish. It’s delightfully fluffy and refreshing with an aroma and flavor that changes as it warms.

Exploring this one is good for the soul. 

The name was inspired by Aretha Franklin’s “I Say A Little Prayer.” We felt it was fitting with the light notes of pear in this petite brew.
