Event Details

The BAE Systems Hawk served as a trainer aircraft for the Royal Air Force since the 1970s, only recently being retired from action. It was quick and agile and nicely represented this “training” cold IPA for us.

Cold IPAs are a new spin on IPA using lager yeast to give a beer a clean, crispy boi finish while still bursting with hop character.

This beer is our second brew of the cold IPA style, but, this time, we used a new lager yeast designed to produce thiols, compounds releasing massive tropical notes similar to what you experience from a Sauvignon Blanc wine.

Crisp and bright, this Citra dry-hopped cold IPA is bursting with yeast-driven tropical notes. Passionfruit, guava, and citrus stand out in the aroma and flavor with a touch of herbal bitterness in the finish.
