How much peanut butter can we put in a stout before you tell us we’re Going Nuts?

That’s the question we attempted to answer with this beer, brewed with our friends at Trinity Forest Brewing. We think we found the answer.

With a dark malt base of roasted coffee and subtle chocolate and a deep black color, this stout was delightful in texture and flavor before we got to business.

With more than 6 pounds per barrel of crushed peanuts, some peanut butter, and an entire container of peanut butter extract, our stout might have become liquid peanut butter if we kept going.

Peanut butter dominates the aroma, but it smells sweeter than the taste reveals. The depth of peanuts and peanut butter will draw you in, but there’s still a substantial profile of roasted barley, chocolate, and fresh coffee notes present.

We think this beer shows you that when we Go Nuts, we go nuts, especially when we get to brew with friends!
