How to Make a Craft Beer Beermosa

Craft Beer Beermosas on Pink

A mimosa can be a great way to start the day. Any day really. But there is some nuance to getting it just right — if you are into doing it right, that is.

With such a simple recipe, it’s important that all the ingredients are of the highest quality.

A traditional mimosa is just orange juice and sparkling wine or champagne. When you can, using freshly-squeezed orange juice makes a difference.

And there’s another way to “level up” your mimosa to an even fresher and more adventurous type of ‘mosa concoction. Try substituting craft beer in place of the sparkling wine.

Dark and Stormy Beer Cocktail Recipe with an IPA

Dark and Stormy IPA Beer Cocktail

One of our favorite cocktails when we travel is the Dark ‘N’ Stormy.

If you take a beach vacation, you’re likely to find, as we did, that many of the cocktails offered are extremely fruity or overwhelmingly sweet.

The Dark ‘N’ Stormy is a perfect counter to that. It’s ginger-y and citrus rich with a smoky sweetness thanks to the dark rum that’s just right when you’re going to be in the sun.

But there is one advantage to drinking craft beer in the comfort of your own home. You can get creative and mix your own beer cocktails or, in this case, a beerita.

Here at Team On Rotation, we are big fans of spicy drinks, as you might imagine from a brewery that produces a Jalapeño Saison on the regular, and this little concoction is one we like to mix up when margaritas are on the menu.

What is a crowler?

32oz On Rotation Crowler

A crowler is a 32oz can you may purchase to take beer to-go. In taprooms and craft beer bars that offer crowlers, you can typically have the can filled with the beer or beverage of your choice and sealed on-demand.

Once sealed, you can take the crowler home, store it in your fridge, and open it whenever you’re ready. Crowlers open just like a beer or soda can with a tab on the top so you don’t have to have any additional tools.

But where did these magical devices come from and who created them?

Brewing in the time of COVID-19

On Rotation Crowler

2020 has been a wild year.

What started for On Rotation as a celebration of our fifth year in business, a chance to release some amazing beers, and a chance to reflect on what we’ve created in this tiny little brewery of ours quickly turned into…well, what 2020 is today.

COVID-19 has disrupted all of our lives, our businesses, our hobbies, and our jobs. The craft beer industry has been no different.
